with words to live large by

After

It is the space of time that can leave you empty or full
with a heart bursting from joy or grief
disappointment or elation

The quiet after the storm
the shock
when life is amplified, moments are suspended
and we move in slow motion
with the disbelief that our world has changed

These cracks can be filled with embarassment, pride or pain
creating opportunities for lessons learned
they can also be filled with hope
providing us the possibility to share
or advance through them quietly

It can define you if you let it
because it can shape you
mould you into something you never dreamed
It can be the ache for which there is no treatment
or the gratitude for the gift

With minutes, hours, days, months and years
it is universal
We live life before
and mark this expanse as after

  5. Yes, life is strange in that we are always growing and changing. That all these moments, and responses to them, really make up who we are and who we are becoming. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier and leaving an encouraging comment. Hope you have a good weekend! 🙂
