with words to live large by

Release the Hounds

My drowning is silent

But for the barking canine

Whose yelping stirs the fight

Deep within me

With flailing arms

I rise and

Break the surface

To release the breath of death

and inhale life

Then dog paddle back to shore

  1. What a stunning poem. A very sharp use of words.

  2. Wow! I love how you painted that picture through your poem.
